Review System
Collect customer reviews inside Discord. Each review is a Discord message; Kaivor keeps only the settings.
How it works
Members press Leave a Review on your review panel, pick a 1–5 star rating, choose the service or product, and write their review. Kaivor posts it as its own message in your review channel. Kaivor does not store reviews: the message is the review, so Discord's search, permissions and moderation all work on it.
Every review gets an ID such as KVR-8F42A1, shown on its last line. Kaivor reads that line back for statistics, duplicate checks and staff actions.
Setup
Run /reviews setup (or reviews setup with your prefix), or open Reviews in the dashboard and follow the eight steps:
- Panel channel: where the Leave a Review panel is posted.
- Review channel: where reviews are posted.
- Admin channel (optional): a private staff copy of every review, with buttons to manage it.
- Approval: automatic, or staff approve each review first.
- Reviewer DM (optional): a copy of the review in the reviewer's DMs. Closed DMs never stop a review.
- Services (optional): a list reviewers pick from. With no list, they type it.
- Appearance: the panel and review designs.
- Publish: post the panel and turn reviews on.

Permissions
Configuring reviews needs Manage Server. Managing reviews (approve, reject, edit, hide, restore, delete) needs Manage Messages, or Kaivor's fake permission for it.
Kaivor needs View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Read Message History in each review channel, and Use External Emojis if your designs use custom emoji. When something is missing, Kaivor names it.
Approval and moderation
In automatic mode reviews appear straight away. In manual mode they go to the admin channel first, with Approve, Reject, Edit and Delete buttons; only approved reviews are published. Published reviews can be edited in place, hidden (kept in the admin channel until restored) or deleted.
Verified reviews
Reviews from your panel are labelled Verified Submission. That means the review came through your Discord panel. Kaivor cannot know whether someone bought anything, so it will not use labels that claim a purchase.
Designs: classic embeds and Components V2
The panel and the review message each have a classic embed design and a Components V2 design, edited with the same editors as the Embed Creator. Both are kept, so switching never loses either. A message built in the Embed Creator can become the panel, and saved messages can use the Leave a review and Review stats button actions.
Review designs can use variables such as {review.stars}, {review.quote}, {review.service}, {review.verified}, {review.date} and {review.id}. Fields and lines that come out empty are left out.
Anti-spam
A per-person cooldown (30 minutes by default), minimum and maximum length, the same text refused for 30 days, a limit on how many reviews a server receives at once, and optionally one review per person per service.
Troubleshooting
- “I don’t have permission to send messages in #reviews.” Grant the permissions Kaivor names in that channel.
- The panel says reviews are closed. Run
reviews enable. - The panel message was deleted. Run
reviews post; Kaivor posts a new one. - Hide is refused. Hiding keeps the review in the admin channel, so it needs one. Deleting always works.
- Statistics look low. Discord lets bots read a channel 100 messages at a time, so Kaivor counts the latest 2,000 messages and says so when there are more.
