Administrator Toolkit
Set up Kaivor, check its health, apply presets, back up configuration, and schedule weekly summaries.
Start with a health check
Run kaivor doctor after installation, permission changes, role changes, or a deployment. It checks the Discord connection, database, cache, Lavalink, bot permissions, role position, documentation sync, Vanity Roles, and support configuration. A failed check explains what needs attention.
Guided setup
Run kaivor setup for a short checklist tailored to the current server. It points administrators to the next useful action without silently changing the server.
Server presets
Use kaivor preset to compare the Community, Creator, Gaming, Marketplace, and School starting points. Preview a preset before applying it. Kaivor creates a configuration backup first and only changes the documented safety settings.
Configuration backups
Use config backup create before a large change. You can list backups, compare one with the current configuration, and restore it after confirmation. Backups contain Kaivor configuration only. They do not copy Discord messages, channels, roles, member content, or moderation cases.
Weekly summaries
Use reports setup #channel <weekday> <hour-utc> to send administrators a compact seven-day summary. It includes aggregate moderation, security, join, and ticket counts. Use reports preview before enabling it and reports disable to stop delivery.
Security review
Use security timeline for recent moderation and antinuke events. Use security explain <case> to see the recorded reason, useful context, and reversal guidance. Automated decisions should still be reviewed by a human administrator.
